Workmen Compensation Insurance

Tamkeen Insurance Company provides special insurance for workers against risks of work injuries that the worker may incur in the course of their performance of work functions and duties in such a manner that indemnify employers from incurring any material or liability burdens due to any harm or death of any worker included in the insurance coverage, subject to the adherence of employers to provision of public safety procedures to their workers and employees.

The Company is committed to honoring its obligations towards subscribers (policyholders) and responding quickly and promptly after any incident, in a professional environment based on clarity and credibility to achieve its vision of creating an integrated partnership with subscribers. The Company is committed to its mission and corporate identity based on the full adoption of principles and standards of application of Islamic insurance compliant with the provisions of Islamic Sharia’a.

Insurance Coverage:

Under the Workers’ Insurance Program, the Company is obliged to disburse reparations to insured workers for damages and/or losses arising from the following work-related risks:

Injury, disability and/or death of a worker while performing manual or mental work in return for a wage under the subscriber’s (policyholder) supervision, or in accordance with the policyholders orders, due to an accident that occurred to a workers while performing work for the employer’s benefit and/or while being present at the workplace and/or at any other location during exercise of worker’s official duties entrusted to him/her during official and additional working hours, including public and official holidays (in accordance with the Palestinian Labor Law).

The Company also provides special insurance against the employer’s tort liability risks according to which the Company is obliged to indemnify the employer from any financial burdens resulting from law suits or additional financial claims by injured workers employed by employers in excess of injury compensation specified by the Palestinian Labor Law, due to the employer’s negligence in the provision of security and protection mean, thus resulting in worker’s injury or disability.

Calculate Value of Insurance Subscriptions (Premiums):

The value of insurance subscriptions (premiums) is calculated on the basis of nature of worker's occupation and as a percentage of the worker’s total annual salary according to the unified tariff for workers insurance approved by the Palestinian Capital Market Authority.
